Anyone on that section of N. Tryon at that time of the night isn't likely to be very helpful I'm afraid.

Hopefully the 4th person in the car is providing real info about what happened and why. Guessing drugs and/or gangs are involved.

I mentioned before that area of Charlotte was recently ranked the 11th most dangerous neighborhood in America:

25 most dangerous neighborhoods 2010

I'm in that neighborhood on a regular basis for work (surveying) and I never have any problems. I think that most of the crime happens late at night.

What is it about the weather warming up that makes people want to point guns?

If I was going to get shot, I'd rather get shot when it was warm. You know how it hurts more when you hit your hand with a hammer when it is cold? Imagine getting shot when it is cold.

Very true.

Seriously though...hate it for all involved. I hope whoever did this gets caught and thrown under the jail.

God forbid I'd be familiar enough with that area to provide tips.

I've driven through that area quite a bit. It never looked very dangerous to me but I guess looks can be deceiving.

It's a commercial business area, of course it will not look very dangerous. Just keep in mind there are several Hispanic bars on N. Tryon outbound of where this occurred. Also there is a hip-hop/urban club on N. Tryon/Atando

Did you drive through at 2am or 2pm?
