My husband and I have been renting in the Charlotte area for awhile now. We're looking to purchase a nice townhome in Cornelius/Hunterville/Davidson. Would also consider Charlotte (uptown or Dilworth area). We do not have children but 2 small dogs and we are in our late 40s. We are looking at properties up to 275k. Would like to have a garage. We'd like to buy in an area that might have a good resale value. My husband works in Mooresville.

Any recommendations?

Southborough in Dilworth is gorgeous. I drove by an open house about 6 weeks ago so I decided to stop in. The unit was 3 stories (admittingly the first floor is more of a foyer/entrance from garage), attached garage with a beautiful kitchen. The price was either $250k or $275k. Some come with roof top terraces but I cannot remember if the unit I looked at did.

There is a lovely looking townhome complex right near the entrance of Davidson, off that traffic roundabout not far off the interstate. Last time I was by there I remember thinking how pretty they were and how convenient to everything Davidson has to offer. They are in your price range and have garages. I found one for sale online but can't post the link here as that is against the TOS, so I'll dm it to you

The complex is called Harbour Place at Davidson.

I saw pictures of a nice townhouse in Skybrook on Zillow.com. There are a couple of townhouses in your price range on the same street. You'll have to not mind being on a golf course.

I know you didn't specifically mention Mooresville, but as your husband works there thought I would mention that Ryland are building beside the lake down at the bottom of Morrison Plantation in Mooresville.
Gated sub-community of MP- The Reserve
Some of the lots are straight across the street from the lake though not technically classed as "waterview".

They have garages but not sure if they are building townhomes.

The model is around 2600 sq ft 2 storey with 4 beds and starting price is around $260,000.
There are also some smaller homes priced around $100 per sq ft.
Really nice floor plan and features with 10ft ceilings throughout and granite as standard in kitchens.
They were offering 50% off upgrades recently.
