Healthcare firm bringing 1,200 new jobs to area

A Florida-based company that provides a variety of support services for the healthcare industry is bringing 1,200 new jobs to the Charlotte region.
Connextions Inc. said in a news release Thursday morning that it will add a new location in Charlotte, providing 800 jobs, and expand its Concord facility, with 400 more jobs there.
An announcement of the expansion is being made this morning in a news conference at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. Gov. Bev Perdue and mayors Anthony Foxx of Charlotte and Scott Padgett of Concord are among those in attendance.
Recruiting for some of the new positions will begin this week.
Connextions officials say company president Steven Auerbach and top assistants will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony in July, when renovations at the 61,000-square-foot facility are complete. The company's news release did not say where the new Charlotte facility will be.
The company will hold a job fair on the same day as the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the company says.
“These 1,200 jobs will predominantly serve the needs of Americans wanting education and support regarding their healthcare and health insurance needs,” said Todd Baxter, Executive Vice President of Connextions’ Consumer Division.
“We will be looking for talented individuals who enjoy having a purpose in helping others understand their best healthcare options, how to appropriately leverage their health plans, and how to get well and stay well,” he added.

Haha, the BS being put out by these companies makes me laugh.

"Auerbach said the company never considered locating the call-center jobs overseas"

Well of course they didn't. If they did, they couldn't tap into this vast tax payer funded enterprise courtesy of the Obama Administration. This is no more than that. It should be noted that when Perdue shows up, this means the company is getting tax money. Either from the NC state gubment or the federal. Did you enjoy all the taxes you have paid out this year so far?
