Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying the beautiful holiday weekend.

My husband and I will be in Matthews this evening, which is rare for us. We're thinking about getting dinner while we're there, since the restaurants there aren't in our normal "rotation."

Any recommendations for great (non-chain) restaurants in Matthews? We've been to Kristopher's, so we're looking for something else. Oh, and we'll have an infant in a carseat with us, so nothing too fancy.

We aren't picky about food: we love everything, particularly BBQ, NY-style pizza, wings, tapas, etc.

1st,kristopher's has good wings-2nd,know I'm not quick to recommend a place unless they show consistence. I would recommend Angela's Italian restaurant Matthews (area)if you want great ny-style pizza (AND) Italian food. We were told about this place a while back and it has become a regular spot for us.everything I have tried from here has made me happy we found them. Also kid friendly but always on our visits a larger ratio of adults then kids. food is very very good but they don't have wings. check out facebook page for info and take a look at their food pictures-swear the food we have ordered looks realistic with the pictures they have posted which I find to be very rare but very refreshing-since I checked out the page prior to our first visit . www.facebook.com/AngelasItalian

Sante is in Matthews and it is really good. I am not sure of the age of your infant, but if s/he is little, then I think you would be okay.

Have fun!
