Anyone familiar with this service offered through Verizon Wireless? Only $19.99 a month........Not bad in my opinion.

It all depends on how the Verizon Wireless signal is inside your house.

"Home Phone Connect is designed to provide coverage at your location that is consistent with other Verizon Wireless devices, but Verizon Wireless does not represent that Home Phone Connect service will be equivalent to landline phone service. Home Phone Connect may not be compatible with certain home security systems. "

Yep. We passed on it because it wouldn't work with our security system or our satellite tv system.

I'm not sure it makes sense to me. It just turns your home phone, basically, into a cell phone. If you have a cell phone why would you go with it.

If you fax a lot also, I don't think it'll work.

If your home is pre-wired for landline or if you have one of those cordless sets that use multiple handset, you could use this instead of a landline and still have "extensions".

Somewhere else on the website, it says it won't work for fax machines or DVRs.
