My 89 year old mom (healthy, feisty and a good driver) wants to volunteer in the Charlotte area. She has tried Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews and was put on a waiting list. She has also tried CMC-Pineville but has heard nothing yet. Up until a couple of months ago when she moved here, she dispatched volunteers in Florida hospitals.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

wow!

I do some work with Friendship Trays (Meals on Wheels). I think they are always looking for drivers, but according to the website there are other volunteer needs as well. It is a great organization! Home | Friendship Trays | Charlotte Meals On Wheels | 704-333-9229

Hands on Charlotte is an organization that coordinates volunteer opportunities in a number of areas so you can try them on and see what fits.
