Hello all, a few weeks ago my family made the drive from Southern Maryland to Charlotte. We met up with my cousin, a realtor from Allen Tate, and toured the area. After viewing many houses and apt complexes (for our first 3 months), we decided this was the place for us. It is mainly due to the cost of living, like most everyone else, but also the friendly people that you just dont find as frequenly up here. My wife will be working part time at the Nordstrom or Belk in cosmetics at the SouthPark mall and watching our 2 yr old son the rest of the time.

So we are all set to go except........I need a job! (small detail) I spend about an hour a night searching sites, (Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.), editing the resume, for employment but have not had many quality leads. I have read on the board that many have had success with local recruiters and had little problem lining up interviews and finding a fitting job. If anyone has any connection or suggestion in that department we would appreciate it greatly! I am the Ops. Manager for a shipping company now but have experience in sales and account management also. Honestly, I would like to maintain a similar career path but am not set in stone because we really love the area and are anxious to get established. I thank anyone that can provide any assistance at this point and look forward to hearing back.

Check out Ajilon. They supply a lot of companies around here with qualified people. Most big companies don't seem to even look at resumes individuals submit. They must come from an agency like Ajilon who does pre-screening and checking of references.

Here is their website - good luck!
