We bought a house there - due to be built in January. Whole community seems to be full of families - nice clubhouse with pool with children's spray park. Most of the neighborhood is very quiet and off the main road.
Anyone have any insight to this community as far as schools and family oriented?
I know it's in the Iredell/Statesville school district & Lake Norman HS. They're having an open house event there today for a new model home they built that has a basement.

There's also a Waterlyn in SouthWest Charlotte near Lake Wylie. Regent Homes and Davis are the builders there.
I walked thru the model with the basement abut 2 weeks ago when I was there. Nice house... huge basement with a full bathroom and bedroom, would make a nice office. I chose a different model b/c I'm use to actual basements underground instead of the walkouts and I felt that the rest of the house was closed in and small... unlike the other floor plans. Plus, I don't like the fact that the lots for the basements have to be built in order so there's no telling how long you have to wait for the corner lot. Just my opinion but I didn't like the lots. I'm having a home built there and can't wait to move in. Everyone I've met there is unbelievably friendly and there does seem to be a lot of families. Everytime I've been there people have been having their own little "block party"-- any day of the week. Got a big kick out of that- community involvement.
