Hopefully it actually rains. They were saying it was supposed to start last night, but it's dry as a bone as usual, and the sun is out here in Steele Creek. I'm over living in this desert!

It just rained for the first time. I'm telling you, it never rains at my house. Every time there's a system we watch the cells go right around us. So strange, and it drives me mad!

I think what bugged me the most about this system is that all of the meteorologists were going bananas predicting 6 inches, and all you had to do was watch the radar to see that the front was slipping north and not east. Oh well.

Yea,..they missed it. They miss alot here..not sure why..it must have something to do with the mountains..hard place to forecast for some reason.

The "Meteorologists" on tv are almost exclusively broadcasters without meteorologist degrees. I have taken a few classes for my career in aviation and shake my head at some of the things they say. In fairness, some have obviously taken some training and are better than others. I usually look at the aviation wx reports at KCLT or look at weather underground. I hate weather hysteria.

They missed it? Not hardly.....all this mess in our yard says different. The wind was horrible! One weird thing, it was raining in our front yard but not in our driveway this morning. Odd sight to see.

Same here! I kept checking my phone since we were out running errands, and I kept saying it's going to miss us for the most part b/c the radar shows the rain skirting Charlotte on the west. We did get rain later that night, but not the craziness they were predicting for the entire day.
