Hello! I am a 24 year old, bi-racial, attractive, single woman looking to relocate to Charlotte, NC from Chicago in January. Chicago is too cold in the winter, and I am looking for a change of scenery. I don't know anyone, so where are some nice places where I can meet people? Also, I've heard that that Ballantyne area is nice, as well as Perimeter Station. Help!!!

I think you will find Charlotte to be nice in many ways, but not in terms of the diversity and open feeling of Chicago.
Down here, many folks your age seem to meet people via church (youngh adult ministries) and gyms (Y's are pretty nice in Charlotte).
Also, maybe look into some young professional organizations.

Your job is always a good place to start with meeting people. It takes time so don't act too desperate and overbearing during the process. That can scare off even the most congenial Charlottean. I've had 3 friends move to NC from Chicago in the past 10 years. They weren't church people so they met the majority of their friends from work. From those friends they met other friends. Also, if you have any particular interests such as swimming, bicycling, dancing, etc., there are organizations listed in Creative Loafing that can connect you with like minded people. A good friend of mine is into ballroom dancing and has met so many people doing that.
