They score equally well in testing of students. The important thing would be to visit potential schools and see what you think of the people you meet in each one. Find out about their particular curriculums and see which one offers the best setting for your childs needs.

You may consider looking at the individual schools in Union County.Your child may struggle if they dont fit into the mold.

Union/Mooresville and the airport
I would also add the Mooresville area to the group. We are interested in the Point area. We need easy connection to the international airport. From mapquest it seems like 50 minutes drive from the Point. How bad would it be from Union County or Mooresville?

What I am saying is that if your child isnt in the average range(slightly below to slightly above) you may want to visit the schools and make your decision based on principals and teachers. Some of Union Countys schools have better reputations than others when it comes to children with any special need.

My son is ADHD and has struggled with reading. Sandy Ridge Elem. bent over backwards to help him!
I will tell you that it all comes down to administration and working directly with them when it comes to your own child.
Unfortunately, in Union County, principals are being shuffled all the time, so you may pick a place based on the admin, only to find that he/she is leaving the next year.
