Looking for a conservative area in the charlotte area to raise a family with kids ages 9,7. Looking for great schools, very safe and very good youth sports (Football, baseball, softball) Not looking to spend a lot of $$ for housing, nor want to be near the hood. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Will you need to be near a certain area for work? What price are you thinking of- renting or buying?
I would say within 45 minutes of Charlotte. Probably renting until I can off load all of my property where I am now. Looking to spend 1200-1500 a month.
My wife and I have friends who moved from NJ to Waxhaw about 2 years ago. We have been on again, off again with relocating our family down there. Now it seems to be "on again" because the price of houses up here in insane (even in a buyers market). I'm just not sure how the job market is though at this time.
That would be my town of Huntersville, NC. just north of Charlotte, and right beside Lake Norman on the south end. We have been here since 97 and love it. We live in the golf course community of Birkdale, awesome neighborhood and convenient to EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! We have 2 kids ages 8, 11- soccer, football, baseball all offered in Huntersville, lots of leagues! Best place to live in Charlotte metro!!!!!
