I got a TON of advice about another place- how about this one.. Does anyone have any comments.

Apartment Overview The Springs at Steele Creek Charlotte Metro Area, NC

Or how about Whitehall apartments? Someone told us that was a good place to live.

Thanks!

The Springs is a better choice. Whitehall is right near the Coffey Creek ones!

The Springs is better, but still has crime issues.

Unfortunately, many big apartment complexes in Charlotte have crime issues. They are like magnets for crime!

Do you have any advice on where we should look for an apartment.. we want something nice, fairly new, etc. Looking in the price range of less than $900 per month for 2 beds... would settle for 1 bed for much cheaper price. Currently in RI we live in a 3 bed, 3 level duplex. We dont need a huge apt place, just something nice and we have no idea where to look.

There are two duplexes for rent on my street in a very quiet area, but it is in Fort Mill, SC. It is really not all too far from where you are looking. They are both 2/2's and are going for $700-750 I think. I hope I can post the link to one so you can get an idea. Oops, looks like one may have been rented, but I will get the phone # for the other one if you want. To give you an iea, here is what they look like:

Allen Tate Family of Companies (http://www.allentate.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?pageid=11&pagealias=ListingDet ail&ListingID=831328&ListingPosition=3&From=QuickS earch - broken link)

My next door neighbor's house (not the same building). This is an old listing too.

This would actually be an excellent choice for xfountaingirl! Fort Mill is very nice, safe and an easy commute to southwest Charlotte Hey x-girl looks like you now have a couple of options

I don't know anything about it but Magnolia Station (broken link) is a brand new complex near the intersection of Steele Creek Rd. and S. Tryon.
