Advice on finding a rental house in Steele Creek/Fort Mill? (apartment, rental homes)

My wife are I are deciding whether or not to renew the lease on our apartment and thought we'd look into the rental house market before deciding. We've found some interesting ones by looking on Craigslist and Hotpads and Trulia and the like, but an awful lot of the listings seem to be outdated -- or in Craigslist's case, flat-out scams.

Anybody know of a better way of searching for available rental homes? Better websites? Just want to make sure I'm not going about this all wrong. Thanks.
