Hello All,
My husband and I are seriously considering a move from MA to the Charlotte area this Spring/Summer.

My husband's job will require him to travel a bit, so we would like to be close (preferably 30 minutes or less commute) to the airport along with the Uptown Charlotte area. My husband is already working here during the week, although I have yet to come down and visit. We are hoping to come down and visit neighborhoods in Jan.

To make the most of our visit, I was wondering if anyone could suggest some suburbs for us to check out during our visit. We'd like to keep our budget at $350k, and we're looking for a 4/2.5 - old or new, we're not picky about that. We would prefer a lot size no smaller than .2 acre.

Lastly, being in a great school district is a top priority, as well. So far, I've heard that Fort Mill is a pretty quick commute to the airport and seems to have everything we're looking for. However, I'd love to check out other areas and I'm open to any and all suggestions!

Thanks in advance! :-)

Gastonia or Belmont comes to mind with that area.

Cramerton (Cramer Mountain) and Belmont. From my front door to airport is 18min, and to downtown is 25.

You could be in Dilworth near downtown and be at the airport in less than 30 minutes. It has good schools. The lots are smaller though.
