We have had the same issue lately with a few different mailers (HHGregg, etc). A couple days ago we got a flier that was to have been delivered Dec25-27th. And this was closer to the time frame than some others we have received.

I know the post office is hurting but come on...this will not encourage the mailer distribution through the post office if this is normal for the masses.

This could get to be a bigger problem with the company's that are doing the mailing of the coupons. They pay good $$ for the mailing to be there a certain time, not to mention the printing costs and everything else involved.

I've gotten several mailings much later than expected too. Here's a funny one - I got a coupon in the mail a few days ago that expired 1/31/01. That was probably a misprint on the coupon

I live in Hickory and now mail that used to be processed locally goes to Greensboro then comes backl I mailed a Xmas card on Saturday Dec 17th and it was in Canton Ohio on Monday Dec 19th but the ones that were local to the Hickory area didn't arrive til mid week.

I got one from my cousin that lives less than a mile down the road and it took 5 days!

Hubby gets our TIME magazine much later here that we did when we lived in Pittsburgh.

I was at the Costco in Matthews on the weekend. I went to customer service to get a coupon book. They asked if I had received one in the mail. I had not. They said that they have been having "trouble with the post office" and gave me a sheet to put my name and address on. There were many other members on that sheet.....

FWIW I got a Cabela's catalogue today. It clearly says on it "Please deliver 1/06/2012 - 1/10/2012". This really is pathetic.

Had another thing to add to this- I realized my car tax bill hadn't arrived. For the past 10+ years I've lived here I've had the same plate on mulitple cars. So I knew the bill is always due by February 1. I called 311 today and sure enough my bill is ready. They sent it to me on January 8th. January 23rd and I still have not received it. I had to have the lady give be everything over the phone, including the bill number, so I can deposit the money and pay over the phone.

ALL the time. It's really annoying. Plus my "real" mail (mortgage statement) gets delivered to my neighbor randomly.

I also noticed this becoming much more common in the past few months. Just a week or so ago I got several Christmas sale flyers with coupons, etc.
