I am not sure if you are all aware but there is a project going on into the town hall which they are trying to build up a mental hospital right next to Monteith Place, on Old Statesville Rd. The facility is also located next to Huntersville Oaks and Lake Norman Charter School, which is not complaining becuase they do receive CMS funding.

We (from Monteith Place) would appreciate if you could attend and help us get this project out of way ! Everyone from our community will rally there tomorrow and we count with the support from the local schools, residents, non-residents, etc in order to get this voted out. As you may not know, this project will not benefit the town in anything. They don't bring tax revenue and the 155 jobs they will have, will not benefit local residents.

I wanted to just bring some articles to your attention so you can know why this is a serious matter:

If you can, please attend the meeting THIS Tuesday evening (Jan 17th 2011) at Town Hall. Meeting will start at 6:30pm sharp. CHS will have plenty of people representing them and their opinions on the proposal and we need to do the same. If you are unable to attend, here is a list of all the elected officials and please take a moment to email them and express your opinions. The more they here our opinions, the more likely they are to act accordingly.

We have received some really bad responses from Commissioner Charles Jeter which is clearly in favor of this project.

Thanks!
