I am closing later this week. I am planning to do pest control and get carpet cleaned done before we move in with all the stuff. Please recommend me a good carpet cleaner and pest control company.

Thank you very much.

I use
Bug Out Pest Control
3343 Eastway Dr
Charlotte, NC 28205
(704) 532-9762

They are great to work with and do not require a service contract, you just call them when you need them. They do inspections and are very friendly. Leave a message on the machine, and someone always calls back the same day. You'll get a kick out of their message!!!

I use Killingsworth, $80-85 bucks for a spray w/o a contract, around $400 for a contract (including termites).

The guy I used recently sold his business and retired.

I am also looking to clean my carpets and am contemplating Chem-Dry.

hmm. I guess chem-dry is a chain of carpet cleaners. I would prefer not so big cleaners. I think small business folks are better and cheaper. I will let you know if I had a decent experience.

Default I've used

In the past we've had Professional Carpet Systems (Homepage) clean our carpets. They do a great job! They're a franchise, but it's locally owned and operated by the Henderson Family... I think for about 20 years now...

Probably not the cheapest, but they are well trained, friendly and guarantee their work, that means a lot to us! We tend to frown on super cheap "fly by night" companies though so just depends on what you are looking for...

OOPPSS So sorry I swear I was in the Raleigh/Cary/Area forums...I don't think PCS travels all the way down to Charlotte... lol... but they may have a franchise down that way... I'm not sure. Sorry for any confusion...

Try Home Improvement | Residential Contractors | Home Contractors at ServiceMagic. I found a good cleaner in Fort Mill through them while my house was empty too. Very smart to do it that way.
