Hmmmm, different atmosphere in my department. Most decided early they were/not taking it and then it's been pretty much business as normal. Now if involuntary begins you'll ratchet up the anxiety quite a bit.

I know of quite a few that have taken it thus far.

there was a article on the layoffs but It was not much of a article. I think it was in the charlotte paper. They were angry that the story got out and fired someone for it.

they are one of the worst companies today, I worked there for 15 years and they let management get by with so much. I could write a book. Maybe one day.

Many people are refusing to shop at Lowes foods for the way they treat the employees. So the company is loosing money and are to foolish to even understand why. Many people do have some backbone just not enough. Most will not stand together to make a point. I never shop at lowes foods and now i will not shop at lowes hardeware. the hardware store fired a woman who went after a shoplifter. They used it as an excuse to fire someone after 18 years.

There are two sides to every story. This thread was about the layoffs at Lowe's Home Improvement.

So you won't shop at a mass retailer because they fired an employee who actually did break company policy? Certainly an option on your part but doesn't really make any sense to me. It'd be like me refusing to bank somewhere because they fired a teller for trusting someone and not asking for identification.
