Hi,
I plan to relocate to the Charlotte area this summer. I'd like to find a nice 4 bdrm rental not to exceed $1,200. I prefer to be near transportation and shopping if possible.

A four bedroom in a good area is going to be very tough in your price range. You would have more luck finding a 3 bedroom, though I hope good schools are not important to you.

Thanks for responding. What minimum price should I raise my ante to? $1,300?

Yes but not for me. However, I do have my sibling and my in law who has elementary and high school aged children who's seriously considering moving to the Charlotte area. I would pass this useful info on to them. Thanks.

Okay, for you, $1300 might get you something in a stable decent area, though $1400 would be better.
For people looking to rent in areas with the best schools they'll need $1600 and up.

Is Myers Park and Olympic good high schools? My aunt says these are among the top rated public high schools in the Charlotte district.
