Hi everyone
We just visited Holy Trinity M.S. today and I was a bit disappointed. We really liked St. Matthews and Charlotte Catholic H.S. but were not impressed with the middle school.
Please share any experiences.
Thanks!!

The condition of the school itself. The building, gym, fields, etc are old and in need of repair/updating. We visited St. Marks last year and just loved it! Too far of a commute from south Charlotte though.

So the facilities bothered you?

Personally, the shear size of the student population was my biggest concern.

Most kids and families there actually love the school community though.

The facilities are very dated..Especially in comparison to the other schools in the area.
When your children attended HT, did the have the "teams"? Now each grade level has 3 teams which has approx. 85 students.

I think all the responses you have gotten so far are accurate--old facility, many students, etc. That being said, my 7th grader has thrived there, and we were new last year. The teachers are there because they want to be, definitely not for the paycheck. So if you can look past the facility, I think it is a solid school.

I totally agree - the teachers are very dedicated and love their students.

A school is so much more than just a building

Yes, they've been using the teams for years as a way of getting the kids into smaller, more intimate groups for bonding and really getting to know what each kid's needs are.
