I had a serious foot operation last May in the area and went back on Friday for follow up. He told me I need another surgery (different sort) on my foot to get rid of the arch pain. I am totally confused and frustrated. I am looking for any recommendation of someone who knows flat feet, and issues with posterior tybial tendon. I would love names of those in the south Charlotte/Ballantyne area if you have 'em! I am desperate and ticked off!!
we did not have a similar issue but like Ryan Foot Care (in Ballantyne)
There is also Dr. Scott Basinger which some have said is good.
I guess I might call and ask if they have alternative methods and whatever to another surgery. I have heard the best thing you can do is get a second opinion
I have a relative that has visited many podiatrists and finally found Dr. Kent Picklesimer in Matthews at Eastover foot and Ankle. They had many toe problems and Picklesimer was the third Podiatrist they tried. He solved the problems and appears to have wonderful patient relationship skills.
getatag, thank you! I went there before my insurance changed and they were out of network! Wish I had stuck with them. They are back in my network so I will return possibly! janedoe726, that unfortunately is where i have been going. it hasn't been a good experience with Dr. Lind there. I trust his judgement and overall attention to detail. i will not be going back there!
I can kinda relate. I had flat foot surgery a year ago but it's still a battle to totally get rid of the foot pain. I saw Dr. Carroll P jones at Ortho Carolina who diagnosed the conditon but I didn't trust the surgeons in this area to actually perform the surgery. I went back home to Boston for surgery with a Harvard trained doctor Dr. Chris Chiodo who specialized in this surgery. It's very complex so not just any general ortho doctor can give you the best possible results. Unfortunately with all the work I had done I think my foot is over corrected from all the procedure. I am better in the sense I don't have the burning pain from the tendon tears when my foot hits the ground because I had a tendon transfer and heel shift.
Dr. Kent Picklesimer in Matthews at Eastover foot and Ankle is the best!
