My Army Buddy, Troy Miller Thompson, made the ultimate sacrifice for his
country, in September 1965, QuiNhon Vietnam. I have been searching for
a picture of TROY for the Internet Vietnam Wall. This wall posts all the names that are on the Wall in Washington, DC. I would like to HONOR Troy by placing a picture of him on the Internet Wall. As of this writing an
actual wall is being planned in DC, that will have the pictures of our
Fallen Heroes. The only information I have on Troy that he was born in Charlotte in 1944 and is buried Forest Lawn West. I'm looking for a High School Yearbook that would have
his picture. I estimate he graduated in 1961,62,63 or 64. If you know the name of the HIGH SCHOOL he attended, that would be a great help in tracking down the Yearbook. Thank you for reading this. My e mail address is twk205@aol.com

Bless you for working so hard to honor your dear friend

Forest Lawn West is located in west Charlotte. This would indicate to me that he may have grown up on that end of the city.

It this is true he would have most probably attended West Mecklenburg High School. (Though if Troy was African American, you'd want to also check at West Charlotte High School).

I wish you luck in your search.

There is a great forum on here called "People Search". Please also post your request on there. They are AMAZING at finding information for people. Good luck. God bless you and God bless America.

Awesome to hear someone intent on honoring a vet, it would be great if more people in this country would at least respect what we do/did, fly the flag half-staff for a vet instead of whitney houston for example. I thank him for his service, and thank you, i consider that serving your country in your own way. (oh you can request flying a flag half-staff too, i believe it was on the congressman's page for whatever your district is that i saw that)

A picture of TROY has been found. The Reece brothers of North Carolina,
both Veterans, have devoted their lives to locating fallen heroes.
If you would like to visit TROY please go to
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=17759936. If you
can please send a note of thanx
to the REECE BROTHERS reecejim@yahoo.com.
I'm so proud of them. They are NORTH CAROLINA's finest

best to all who have prayed for Troy
