I live in Union County & unfortunately I am uninsured. I really need to go see a dentist. I have a abcessed tooth. Where should I go to get help? That I can afford. Please no rude comments. I just need some help

I don't know if this will be helpful, since I'm in Charlotte.

If you go to the emergency room, they can give you antibiotics. When I needed them for my tooth, I got a shot from them since I could not afford a prescription at that time. Painful in one end, but helped relieve the pain in the other!

Because I went to the emergency room, I was able to get an appointment at the CMC Dental Clinic - they hold a few appointments open for emergency patients. You can also call the clinic early in the morning, on the off chance you can get a walk-in appointment that day. My understanding is, that is quite difficult. The clinic's number is (704) 355-2165. Of course, you'd need to wait 'til Monday to give them a call.

Brooklyn Queen Bee: I will try calling that clinic on Monday. Have you have any experiences with them?

I do not think that anti-biotics will help very much until the cause of the infection is removed. It will just keep on infecting. However since you have started a course of anti-biotics, it will probably be best to finish the course.

I am NOT a doctor but common sense would seem to suggest the above.

I hope that yoiu get your problem sorted out quickly and economically. I HATE toothache.
