We just got here from AZ, where we lived for 2y, and before that, my dh lived in SoCal for his entire life. I am originally from Michigan. Anyway...

We were looking at houses in the Crossings and my dh said to me, "Why do all the houses have glass over the doors?"

I had no idea what he was talking about, until I realized: He'd never seen a storm door before.

hee!

Uh oh, are you referring to mosquitos? Are they bad down here? We came down from Md. in September and have not experienced a bug problem yet. Also, what do you know about these "Palmetto" bugs? Are they really just giant cockaroaches? I would have to move back if I saw one in my house!!!!!!!!!!!!

mosquitoes can be issue around dusk but I was referring to moths and other critter that is attracted to light. The glass door also help protect your front door from the elements, blowing rain, cold wind and another barrier to help keep the heat out in the summer. Plus with the glass door you can leave your front door open to allow in extra light
