Winston Salem info - quiet on their board (Charlotte, Raleigh: rent, transfer)

Hello!! My spouse has a POSSIBLE relocation to Winston Salem, an internal transfer with his company. We would be moving from S FL. We have 2 young children. 1 will be starting kindergarten the other Preschool.
Can you please share some information about your city. We do not know too much. We have friends/family in Charlotte, Raleigh & Columbia SC.
Here are a few things we are interested in learning about...

1. Safe Family neighborhoods (we will probably rent for our first yr so that we can become more familiar with the location)

2. Should we look into Greensboro also??

3. Good School districts

4. Weather (Here we have one HOT!!! and then occasionaly PERFECT )

5. Traffic

6. We are an interracial couple how accepted is it?

7. Activities for families?

8. We attend church and need some suggestions?

You only posted in Winston-Salem board 3 hours ago.
It is a beautiful Saturday for one thing, so there is not going to be many people on any of Carolina forums on the weekends.

Ill sticky your thread in the Triad forum for about a week or less but give it some ample time for response.

The Triad forum is your best route for relocation advice.
Hardly anyone will be able to assist you in Charlotte forum.
So I am closing this thread.
