I moved to Charlotte at the end of February and my mom and grandma are visiting this weekend. Are any fun but not too expensive activities going on that you could suggest? Or just something in general we should check out? I'm still trying to get a feel for everything and all the different areas. Thanks in advance!

The grand opening for the 7th Street Public market is this saturday and they they are having all kinds of fun stuff starting this thursday and going through next week.
Happened to see in the South Charlotte Weekly that there is a free concert tonight (Saturday, May 12) at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of Charlotte on Carmel Road. It is a french horn ensemble and looks like it would be a nice event!
