Actually, the music remains the same, but the format evolves:
Back in high school, it was "Today's Hottest Hits!!!"
Then it becomes adult contemporary, then
Classics from the 80s!
And finally, "Oldies from the 20th Century"

Those two most closely represent what I listen to often as well. I don't listen to FM in the morning (usually Pandora or Spotify at home) but if it weren't for John Boy and Billy, 99.7 wouldn't be nearly as popular as it is. Yeah, they play the redneck card pretty well, but given their very small play list, that's who they are marketing to.

I wish I could get 95.7 online, but they don't offer it.

Didn't one of the earlier members of FM just pass away? I don't remember the details but I think he sang a couple of their early hits. Who else is part of FM?

99.7: you'll hear that song faster than on a jukebox. What do they play? 12 songs? Must be an easy job as program director there.

^Actually, I think 99.7 is up to 18 songs on their playlist now. As for 95.7 The Ride. that's what my alarm goes off to. But 5 out of 10 times the songs will be either "Burnin' Down the House (Talking Heads) or The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Seems 95.7 shines best late at night, when listenership is lowest.

I have XM in the car and even it gets lame at times. But no commercials helps. I fall back on the trusty CD player mostly.

Bob Welch died in June. With Fleetwood Mac, he wrote "Sentimental Lady", "Emerald Eyes" and "Hypnotized."

That's it. Sentimental Lady and Hypnotized are two tracks I liked, and I didn't know he sang them with Fleetwood Mac, until he died.

I didn't know that either until I bought Bare Trees back in '93.
