Traffic from the north (Concord, Statesville: commute, best, area)

I am trying to find the best route uptown from Concord/Harrisburg - avoiding major highways if I can - during morning rush. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Might try 49 to Mallard Creek, to WT Harris, to 77. I am in that area for work sometimes, but cant comment on the morning commute. I know you have several options. 485, 85, 29, and 24 are all in that vicinity. I know there are roads besides 77 that you can take, but i dont know how backed up those get. A few examples are Albemarle Rd, Statesville Ave, Rocky River Rd, etc.

It really depends on which part of uptown you're going to. I avoid 77 and take Tryon. It is rare for my drive (from Harrisburg) to take more then 30-40 minutes.
