I am relatively new to this forum. But I have noticed on certain threads, there is a lot of arguing between local posters. Why is this! It is very informative and entertaining to read opinions, but why attack each other? Geez! Just wondering. I am sure I will pay dearly for this and probably sign off! lol

Agreed, many heated arguments, and very little to do with what the person was asking originally, and not just here, many states. Thanks for your support!
Sadly, there are some posters that love to incite others (black vs. white/southerner vs. northerner/etc.). Some posters have to have the last word (you will notice they make continuous posts in the same thread basically saying the same thing). Some posters think that their opinion is the absolute truth (if you don't agree they call you stupid). I had to laugh a few weeks ago - one poster wrote something similar to 'AS I SAID BEFORE.....' as if this would convince others to change their minds.
I think most of us have to take a break from city-data every so often - just to keep our sanity.
It's like reading the comment section in the Observer. I agree, stay on topic to the original post or just shut up! Google "online forum etiquette" and learn a thing or 2.

yup....but this etiquette has to be enforced, and on this forum it isn't and never has been.
