Wowzers. I had not anticipated closures this far out into the burbs.

School buses are exempt according to the details of the release. If you're worried how this will impact you, read the linked release carefully as it has specific, detailed access information for buses (school and CATS), specific neighborhoods and workplace addresses on Ballantyne Commons Parkway.

I'm not at all surprised by this. The helipad located right near Ballantyne Resort makes it easy for VIP's to "commute" from here to any of the helipads in Uptown in minutes. Possibly, it's also easier to secure a place like Ballantyne Resort, with open areas around it, than Uptown hotels. I'm sure we won't see any specifics in the news and releases, but I'd bet that at least one of the VIP's staying at the Ballantyne Resort will be the President. So far, they just say "White House Staff".
