Just moved to the Steele Creek area, I am curious what most people consider the best valued golf course in the area? I haven't seen many online outside of Renaissance. Any recommendations?

Regent park and springfield. Both are about 10 to 15 minutes away. Regent is better for the hig handicapper. Springfield will eat anyone's lunch the first couple times you play it. both are kept in great shape and have good evening specials. I hate playing goat tracks, and these are anything but.

looks like you're south, near lake wylie? you're somewhat close to charlotte golf links (eh) and waterford (eh), and tega cay (worth checking out). a little bit further from you is emerald lake gc, who's clubhouse recently burned down but that's a fun track that you usually can get good deals on. check out clickitgolf.com for discount coupons.

under 40 bucks. I usually pay for nine at springfield after say five and can squeeze 18 in.

I second Regent Park and Springfield. I don't play, but that's where my husband plays on a weekly basis. I think he pays $33.
