PATCHY DENSE FOG HAS DEVELOPED WITHIN THE MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND
ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE NORTH CAROLINA FOOTHILLS AND PIEDMONT THIS
MORNING...INCLUDING THE CHARLOTTE METRO AREA. THE VISIBILITY WILL
BE QUITE VARIABLE...BUT WILL FALL TO NEAR ZERO AT
TIMES...ESPECIALLY NEAR BODIES OF WATER.
IF TRAVELING THIS MORNING...DRIVE SLOWLY AND KEEP EXTRA DISTANCE
BETWEEN YOU AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU. REMAIN ALERT FOR CHILDREN
AWAITING THEIR SCHOOL BUS.
okay i stand corrected...it's fog. from a distance though, it certainly looked like smoke rising, and it was twirling in the air...like smoke... very interesting looking though.
It was insanely foggy this morning. Coming up Church St. I could literally see it lifting around about 7:50 though.
