Does anyone know about the Gilead/McCoy Road area in Huntersvillle? Is it a safe area to live. Any other info would be appreciated. Thank you.

that road is off the Cedarfield subdivision the same subdivision I live in and it is very safe.

Cedarfield is one of the few older established neighborhoods in Huntersville. The homes are not cookie cutter like the rest of the city except Wynfield and Hampton Ridge and alot of Arbor in the neighborhood.

That part is a part of Cedarfield 1 you are right behind the plantation house and close to the Greenway community pool and two fields in case you have kids they can play football or whatever in.
Cedarfield Plantation

There is a local baby co op and bunch of young entrepeneurs for household tasks.
click the above link and click cedarfield sun for local monthly newsletter.

Yep Cedarfield was one of the first neighborhoods to begin in Huntersville. It was the late 80's early 90's. Has good re-sale through out. Only problems seem to trickle in from the trailer park near Tesh's. My family live on the raod over on Hambright and have since the early 70's. I would feel comfortable living there.

I live in Cedarfield and the neighborhood is great. I know that area well and there is a lot of building going on at that exit to make it even more great to live. Depending on your price range Cedarfield, Wynfield, Gilead Ridge, etc area all great areas.

You can also check with the Huntersville PD they area right up the street. I live deep in Cedarfield and I have to pass a neighbor who keeps his cop car parked in the driveway so I feel pretty safe.
