Hello, before this thread gets started please do not fight about which city is bigger and better i am asking a questions so i can decide on where to move. Here is what i like
- Good scenery
- Good home cooking restaurants and some upscale restaurants (that's not too expensive)
- Lots of stuff to do that is fun and good for a family.
- I like water activities some outdoor activities and i like going out.
- Education is important to me because after school i plan on going to college also i need a place where it has good employment cause its not the degree that matters its what you do with it.
- I want a place where there aren't to much of one race i am white but prefer to be around different backgrounds and races.
- A place that is fast but not to fast.
- I like the Hollywood scene which i know Atlanta offers because i watch some of the reality tv they have i'm not sure if Charlotte has that never been there.
- I like friendly people ( i herd Charlotte was a racist city) I do NOT wanna be surrounded by racist people.
- I want a place with good opportunities after college so i can get a job ( don't know what i want a degree in yet).
To sum it up i want a place that is fun, friendly people, things to do, diverse, good restraunts, good schools and a place for opportunities.

From the Terms of Service of this forum: "You must be 16 years of age or older to register."

Plus I don't see how you have much choice over a city to move to anyway, since you're a minor.

Charlotte isn't racist, if anything, Atlanta would be more racist.

Many people have complained of not finding work in Charlotte, moving to Atlanta, and finding work. Not that Charlotte doesn't have career opportunities available.

You said fun for families, yet you're 17... But IMO, Charlotte wins this.

I guess both cities could work for you, each offer more than the other in certain things.

You said you're looking for a place with good opportunities to land a job after college. It seems to me that focusing on getting your college education should be the primary priority right now. Afterwards, you can determine what city best suits you and it might not be either.

Go to college first - then live where you are fortunate enough to find a job.

Seriously, that's the way it works.

Charlotte is for the big boys - you wouldn't be ready to move here right out of high school.

agree 100%
you have to get your career together first and many companies will pay for you to move or transfer,
but that's after you get the job first.

Well you need to go to college first then get a job in the city that best meets your job requirements/needs. If I wanted to own a fishing company business I would probably move to a coastal city vs. an inland city for example. Good luck in your endeavors.
