So my security cameras caught this dog wandering around my house at 6am. I live very close to uptown so i am not in a rural setting in anyway. It looks very creepy.... I have a video of it walking around too..

Do you live near any railroad tracks? I live well within the city near railroad tracks and have seen 4 or 5 deer at a time in my yard. Animals follow the tracks and most are hidden by enough woods for them to feel safe. I think that animal is indeed a coyote. Poor thing. Put some food out for it but dont mess with it. They can bite.

No, don't feed it. Coyotes are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves. Feeding them makes them more likely to approach humans and can lead to bites. Feeding one is a very bad idea.

I don't think it's a coyote. It has a curled tail and spots.

Judging from that mottled coat it looks like a huge fox or a (blue heeler) Australian Cattle Dog type.

No feeding wildlife - you know the saying, a fed bear is a dead bear. Well that goes for all wild critters. A fed critter is a dead critter. Although I still think it looks doggyish.

Coyotes are a huge problem and getting worse. According to my dog trainer who also hunts and kills coyotes they are becoming increasingly aggressive. Taking out Rottweilers and Labs. Little dogs are snacks. Their most active times are night time and early morning. This time of winter is also very active as it is mating season. Urban areas are definitely not immune to them. I think it is a coyote in your picture. The eastern version is much bigger than the western. Can be 50-60 pounds.
