BBQ is good, and more than that it is a great tradition. Stumping by politicians is a big part of the day and it is just cool to be a part of one of the area's oldest traditions!!

I went several times when I lived in the University area. The BBQ is good. The police and workers do a good job getting people in and out but the lines can be very long. Be prepared to wait.

Both of you are right. Plus, you can meet the candidates although they don't hang out as long or as casually as they used to.
