Lol, some of y'all are a trip. You wouldn't live in a predominantly black middle and upper middle class neighborhood if given a choice. And that's a fact so Lawdy help you is right! This simply gives you a reason to sterotype and confirm your notions about a place or people that you really don't know anything about...nothing. These guys are clowns...a small pocket of ignorance.
Find a neighborhood (single family homes) near that area you'll be just fine if not racial-phobic. Working class, law abiding people live in that area who happen to be Black. You will not find a video post of them and they make up the majority of people living there...see, it's more interesting to focus on the homies/40 oz crew to feed and validate the visual many people have of Black america...which in fact is gross misrepresentation. No doubt some of it's self-inflicted but the camera will never spot the guy who's a mechanic at the neighorhood garage...working hard to put kids through college.

I don't think the OP's question was that bad. For the most part, I would say the answer to "do African American people respect Caucasian people in the South" is yes. You might find some people that don't respect much of anyone, but that's certainly not limited to any particular race. That said, I'm not sure you can find a place anywhere in the country where you can say "All [insert race here] people respect [insert other race here] people.

At one time (1980s) if you had gone through there, you would have found a lot of UNCC students living on Milton Rd. These fellows don't really seem to be interested much in getting an education or much of anything else productive from what I can see. What a waste and a shame.
