Good place to buy cheap desktop/laptop around? (Hickory: lease, buying)

Have a need in cheap (~$100-$150 max) laptop to make it my car diagnostic tool. Interesting in local stores, like Goodwill (will check it soon) and other... If you saw any or have some recommendations let me know.

There's a Goodwill Computer Store on Freedom Drive.

I always use craigslist to find used computers. If you buy one and need help with it, I would be more than happy to look at it. I repair computers and laptops at laptopdrop.com. Close to the airport area.

You might give LN Computers a look-see...they're off WT Harris a few miles from UNCC (sorta near Hickory Gro e church). Ask for Robbie, he's one of the owners and tell him Holly sent you. I got a TC-1100 from him about a year ago...reasonable and cool option for me between PC and L/T. I
I buy/sell lots of stuff on Craigslist, but laptops are difficult to get in good shape and a reasonable price off CL...because nobody will tell you that there's a thing wrong with what they are selling and they won't let you have it checked out prior to buying. Be wary of some of the UNCC 'computer genius' students...I made that mistake once and just not worth the hassles again.

Funny things - I'm looking into Craiglists, ready to visit Goodwill when I will be there to register my car and saw LN Computers as well So I will see what I can get there. I need something with RS-232 (serial) port so not all options work for me.
