I might be wrong, but I believe this company took over part of the the abandoned IBM facility that is off Harris Blvd. Areva is a state owned company from France.
Let's hope some of local people will qualify for employment for these high skilled jobs.

OP yes, we are in the IMB facility. We do everything in the Nuclear (and renewable) Energy fields. There are great opportunities with this company and this is a fantastic company to work for. They treat their employees really well. I've been with AREVA for 8 years.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Hopefully they will open a few job opportunities for the local talent here in Charlotte. It's still good to see high paying jobs coming to the area.

When companies choose a location as HQ they take in consideration on how attractive for new employees the city will be. Furthermore they will provide info to prospective employees about advantage of choosing and living in Charlotte area.
Getting top quality skilled technical people is a huge challenge in today's environment!
