Moving to the Charlotte area this summer. My home business needs excellent internet speed and good cell phone coverage. We need a rural feel that is in a town offering business services like FedEx, a printer, and Post Office. We'd like around 2-5 acres. Have 4 dogs and would like to add a barn and a couple sheep. $300-$400,000 range. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

Children are grown so school district is only important for resale value. Charlotte Airport would be fine for trips. Also important are LOW crime area and wooded.

Try looking outside the city limits from Belmont to Kings Mountain. If you get out as far as Kings Mountain I'd suggest looking north of US 74. Make certain that you check about livestock zoning, even outside city limits.

I'd look around Indian Land if schools were not an issue. Close to all the convenience of Ballantyne and Ft. Mill, but still "out" with low land prices and low taxes.

Wadesboro appears to be too far from Charlotte for business services and high speed internet connections. Your thoughts?
