Gasoline sans ethanol in area? (house, to buy, maintenance)

Does anyone have a source for gasoline without ethanol for my gas powered tools?

I actually thought about this topic a few ago, I like to run not on lawn equipment but once a month in the truck ethanol free.
I just did a search and this site lists locations that have pure gas.

I go to the Daytona station(s) in Denver, but only their premium gas is ethanol-free. That would be the Triangle and Beach's Grocery on that linked list above.

I just buy Racing gas. Been doing this for 15-20 yrs, use it in my saw, weed eater, blower. and mower. all 2 cycle and never had a problem. I read somewhere that they put in a preservative for the gas to not go stale.

They do that to keep it from gumming up the tank since they don't sell much of it. You don't have to buy this gasoline to get preservative. A bottle of Sta-bil gas treatment added to any gasoline will keep it fresh for years. It's what I use for storing the boat over the winter. A $6 bottle will treat 25 gallons. You can get it at lowes, marine places, almost anywhere now. I always add a little to my gas can when I fill it up.

I'm also thinking the 103 octane in racing fuel isn't the best thing to use in an engine designed for 83 octane.

fuel stabilizer is a great idea.

Also, my equipment specifies "89 octane or higher" with no upper limit indicated. I'm guessing most newer equipment would be similar.

JLC58, what would be the result of mixing a little lead with the regular/ethanol gas - providing one can even find the lead at the parts stores, i.e., Advance, Auto Zone? Or mixing the lead free premium with a 50/50 mix of the regular/ethanol. I'm going to start using my 30 year old Homelite, which works fine because it's been drained and a new plug fires it on the third pull, and don't want to burn it up with the blend. Any advice?

I've got a 28 year old 2 stroke lawn boy (they don't make them like that anymore) and it does fine with regular gasoline, though keep in mind that since it's 2 stroke, I have to mix the gasoline with oil. It always cranks up with one or two pulls. I admit, it's such a simple engine, that it's liable to run on almost anything. It's too bad the environmental nazis won't let them be sold now.

I have a tiller that I bought in 1994 with a tried and true 4 stroke Briggs & Stratton engine. I'm neglectful of engine maintenance and it sits under the house for months at a time with no use. But it also always starts with one or two pulls (which is good because the recoil spring fell off) using regular gas. I do put stabilizer in it.

I think about every engine produced in the USA since they started selling gasahol in the 1970s will work fine with 10% ethanol in gasoline.
