Stick around this forum for a while and you'd be convinced that Charlotte leadership was leading us to ruin, but you say FACTS tell a different story?!?

Whodathunkit.

That is good news, but I thought Raleigh had the higher paying jobs and better overall economy! How does Charlotte rank higher than Raleigh when everyone always say that the economy in Raleigh is better? Good thing this thread isnt on the NC forum, a lot of the Raleigh folks would be talking about how better educated and how their QOL is far superior than it is in Charlotte!

Probably because Raleigh's economy wasn't affected like Charlotte's was during the recession.

Obviously this article is good news, but partially to your point, I don't believe salary has anything to do with these rankings.

Thanks to outcrys of disapproval at the stupidity of our leadership, we have managed to derail some of the irrational plans of those in charge. Fortunately, Obama has been kind to us. He has taken away some of our sketchy leaders and placing them in key positions in Washington. Things will only get better if Washington keeps up the good work (good for us, bad for the country).

Lol, like building a 200+ million dollar taxpayer funded arena (McCrory) when voters absolutely opposed it? Some of y'all are so blinded by political partisanship it's too much to give the other guys credit.

During Foxx's tenure as mayor of Charlotte, the city continued to thrive in wake of the great recession that unquestionably impacted this area more so than anyplace else (you know, the next Detroit). Yes sir, nothing underscores incompetency like convincing the DNC committee to select Charlotte to host the event. The event was top-notch, exposed Charlotte as a vibrant new south city and was a boon to the local economy.

It's also rather ironic that Foxx could potentially become the next Secretary of DOT (if confirmed). Although he can't overtly show favortism for a particular city/state/region, I have a sneaky suspicion the streetcar line is gonna somehow get fast-tracked...just to **** a few people off...oh, the irony.

I'll tell you what's irrational...

Things like:
Propping up unsustainable practices like single occupant vehicle commuting

Not planning for future transportation

Killing environmental regs

Selling our state to the Koch bros and art pope.

Depriving citizens of their rights because of religious beliefs

S.M.A.R.T.

Cutting education funding and teaching positions

Bill James and that Yankee dip**** from Matthews Rucho
