Hey Everybody,

I am looking to brush up on my search engine management skills and was hoping to get some recommendations on classes in the Charlotte area. What I am looking for is a class/classes on some of the fundamentals of Google Adwords Management, SEM, SEO overview. I do have some experience with this, so looking for a course or courses I can learn a little more of the advanced technical aspect. Webinars are okay, but I would prefer a physical classroom setting. I have had trouble locating anything around here other than the occasional seminar offered by marketing companies. What I was hoping was to find something at CPCC or UNCC. Does anyone know of such an animal out there? Thanks.

Hi Native,

There used to be a 3 day workshop up at the lake- HIPPO Training, but they are no longer.

I recommend you attend one of the local Meet Ups. Or attend Internet Marketing Conference 2013 – SEO , PPC , and Social Media in late July.

It's a conference, but I think there may be a training session too.

You were very clear about wanting a classroom setting as opposed to a webinar but a quick search on YouTube revealed this little bunch https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...be.7AdMRc4bvRo

Maybe you can at least learn enough from these to ask relevant questions. That sounded bad but what I mean is that you need to learn enough about Google to know what you need to ask. I have run a few software courses and when people start using something new, they general flail about for a while until they orientate themselves within the new environment. At this point they need a problem to solve which focusses them on mastering the new product. Hereabouts, they usually start asking precise questions about "How exactly do I..."

Now they are cooking with gas.
