Club EDEN in ELizabeth has hookas! They are at the corner of Elizabeth Ave & S. Indepence Blvd (aka Charlottetown Ave) between CPCC & Presbyterian Hospital.

Well, folks, I've totally changed my mind about the Greek Isles. I've beenback twice since I praised it in 2008 and both times was really disappointed. The rack of lab which I always ordered was what we used to call "mystery" back in my college cafeteria; dry, tasteless and not worth the plate it was served on. We haven't been back in two years.

Sultan's Kabob House on S. Tryon near Westinghouse is great, IMO.

It ain't that much to look at, but the food is great and the owners are wonderful.

Cedarland's is great. It's on Central Ave. It's a hole in the wall shop, but the food is delicious!

Metropolitan cafe in Latta Square (uptown on Church between MLK and 3rd Streets) has a hookah bar, is open until 11 Monday through Saturday and is not as expensive as Kabob Grill or Middle East Deli (Which is now Carolina Kebap).

Has the Middle East Deli on Independence and Sharon Amity changed ownership lately. Seems that I read that a Turkish gent recently took over. I am hoping that is true as the last time I was there, I was repusled at the nastiness of the place and the unkept appearance of the owner that was sniffing, caughing enough for me to cancel my order and leave.
