Would a daily commute from the border of Indian Trail/Monroe to Mooresville (east side of Lake Norman-not the town itself) be doable for any length of time? Any guesses as to how long the drive would take?

I personally would not want to make that commute. Can you provide more information? Do you already live in Monroe?

Yes, transferred for a job from out of state, but now need a new job (right away!) and one of the ones am considering is up there. Just bought a house here in Monroe/Indian Trail (only made 3 mortgage payments). It is a very good job, etc., and they are hard to find here apparantly, although this was only the 2nd company that have interviewed with. I drove up there today, the miles are long, but time wise it might not be much longer than getting to Ballantyne on two lane roads with school busses.
