We will be moving to Charlotte very soon. I will look for houses to buy or apartments. I wish to know good schools and decent Desi neighborhoods. I have two kids. I will need elementary and middle school suggestions.

One of the best middle schools in Charlotte is Jay M Robinson which feeds into the excellent Ardrey Kell HS. I believe there are lots of Indians in this part of Charlotte.
Also many Indians send their kids to Randolph Middle school for the IB magnet. But you have to apply in advance for admission. There are shuttle buses to this school - the one from the Ballantyne area seems to be 1/2 Indian kids. (I see it leave as my daughter takes another magnet bus from the same stop - McAlpine Elementary)

My husband will be working in Fort Mill, SC. But we want to stay in Charlotte while he can commute.

I think Ballantyne could be a good fit.

Should be able to find something in Ballantyne which is a very nice area in South Charlotte (about 20-30 mins to Fort Mill) with some of the best public schools in Charlotte.
