Hey Guys,

I am looking for a DIY solution for my yard. I use to pay for service, lawn aeration, seeding, chemicals etc etc, but was never happy with results.

I can't stand crab grass and it was overtaking my yard. Where can I go, tell them what size yard I have and they tell me how much and when to do it?

I used to have a few companies come out and give me quotes with complete yearly applications with dates and exactly what they would be doing. I then followed their plan of action. Worked out great for a few years but then realized that it was less costly for me to hire them and just have them do it all. Chemicals at the box stores is not cheap.

As for the crab grass, good luck. As long as it is in the neighbors yards or in your yard, it is a losing battle.

Default Lawn Maintenance - John Deere

Try John Deere (they used to be Lesco). They are in Indian Trail off the 74 in the industrial area.
704-893-2102.

They sell to landscapers, etc. They have very knowledgeable people there and can help you.

I came to the same realization a few years ago. My yard isn't going to look that much better than anyone else's, and vice versa, until everyone is on the same plan. Drive through Piper Glen or Ballantyne, where everyone has a yard service and there aren't many trees, and everyone's yard looks great.
