I live in Davidson near the park and ride and next to the Express bus line.

I am looking to see if there is pleasant and safe public transportation to Ballantyne John J Delaney.

I was told and express goes there, but the only one I see goes to uptown.

Summery: What is the best way using public transportation to get round-trip from Davidson to Ballantyne?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You are correct in that all your bus options from Davidson end in uptown, so you will be required to transfer there. The shortest transit time seems to involve taking the express bus (#77X) to uptown, then taking the light rail to the Sharon Rd West station, where you would depart and transfer back to a CATS bus (#43) to John J Delaney in Ballantyne. The shortest transit time appears to be right at 2 hrs, but this will increase to over 3 hrs depending on the time of day. Then coming home just reverse the order of the above.

It might be easier to take the Davidson bus to uptown, then board the express bus to Ballantyne on its return trip from uptown.
