Hello, I am new to this site and I could not find any posts similar to my situations. I am currently looking for a new apartment or other rental around June or July. I am a graduate business student at UNCC and I would like to move closer to the city because I plan on staying here when I graduate in the fall. I am trying to find a studio or one bedroom apartment close to the city in a nice/safe area. I looked at apartments in the Southend, but they are a little expensive. Is there any suburb with a short commute? I am open to anything, I would just like to have a short drive.

Your budget will have an awful lot to do with where you end up. Without knowing that, all we can do is guess.
